The almond harvest is the quietest harvest in the Douro. In August, when the heat weighs heavy over the terraces, the fruit is ready - and the picking is done by hand, with poles, among almond trees that are decades old.
Half a day of active participation in the harvest, followed by a tasting of regional almond products: toasted almonds, sweets, pastes. A little-known experience, deeply authentic.
